Puppy biting is normal but not a habit you want to continue! You can minimize puppy biting by meeting their needs. Start managing teething with things like different types of chew toys ๐ฆด , exercise ๐ and mental enrichment activities! Here are some tips:
- Use a toy – substitute a chew-bone or toy to keep the puppy occupied
- Teach bite inhibition – start by allowing biting of your hand, and when it becomes painful, yelp and make a big deal. When they are gentle, reward them with a treat
- Get a puppy playmate – find them some young buddies to burn of en energy with, like a puppy training class.yowling when urinating, or avoiding urination completely
